What Is the Schengen 90/180 Calculator?
The visaora.io Schengen 90/180 Day Counter is a free, browser-based tool that helps non-EU travelers track exactly how many days they have used and how many remain within the Schengen Area — under the 90-day-in-any-180-day rolling window rule. No account, no spreadsheets, no manual counting.
In 2026, accurate day tracking has never been more critical. The EU’s Entry/Exit System (EES) went live progressively from October 2025 and reached full implementation across all 29 Schengen countries on 10 April 2026. This system automatically records every entry and exit using biometric fingerprints and facial scans — replacing the old passport stamp system entirely. Border officers can now see your exact day count in real time. Overstays are automatically flagged and stored in the EES database for up to 5 years.
The 90/180 rule itself has not changed — but the consequences of getting it wrong are now far more serious and permanent. This tool helps you stay on the right side of the line.
🚨 EES Fully Live — 10 April 2026
The EU Entry/Exit System is now fully operational across all Schengen borders. Passport stamps have been replaced by biometric registration (fingerprints + facial scan) at every entry and exit.
In its first 4 months, EES logged 17 million travelers, 30 million border crossings, and flagged over 4,000 overstays. Overstay fines in France stand at €198. Future Schengen visa applications and ETIAS authorizations will be affected by your EES record.
ETIAS (mandatory €20 pre-travel authorization for visa-exempt travelers from the US, UK, Canada, Australia etc.) is expected to launch in late 2026 once EES is fully stable.

How To Use the Calculator
Getting your compliance status takes under a minute. Here’s exactly how:
Enter Your Entry Date
Pick the date you entered any Schengen country. Both entry and exit days count as full days under the 90/180 rule.
Enter Your Exit Date
Select the day you left the Schengen Area. If you’re currently inside, use today’s date as a temporary exit to check your current status.
Select Country & Purpose (New in 2026)
Optional but useful — log which country you entered through and your visit purpose for accurate EES-style tracking.
Click “Add Trip”
Your trip is added to the history log. Add all past trips within the last 180 days for an accurate picture.
Read Your Dashboard
See days used, days remaining, your 180-day window start date, the earliest possible next entry date, and when future days free up.
Plan Your Next Trip
Use the “Freed-Up Days Timeline” to identify exactly when new days become available — plan your next Schengen visit with confidence.

Who Is This Tool For?
Anyone who is not an EU/EEA citizen and travels to Europe for short stays needs to track the 90/180 rule carefully in 2026.
Post-Brexit, British passport holders are fully subject to the 90/180 rule and EES biometric registration from 10 April 2026.
Americans planning extended European holidays or business travel need to track their days carefully — EES now auto-counts from the first entry.
Remote workers hopping between Schengen countries must track cumulative days across all 29 countries — not just one destination.
Business travelers making multiple short Schengen trips per year need to ensure combined days never exceed 90 within any rolling 180-day period.
Short-stay visa holders, gap year travelers, and anyone between long-stay visas who needs to track their tourist stay compliance precisely.
